All of my materials estimates are in and it looks like we are under budget. John is pleased!

I ordered trusses from J&H Industries. They’re a parallel chord design and with two different setups accommodate an 8′ ceiling in the upstairs bedroom loft plus full 22′ cathedral ceiling in the front half of the building. I ordered all my windows and doors including the 6′ wide double patio door with jamb side hinge, so when they will open to a full 6′ with no central ‘bar’ as is common. The backhoe guy will be on site on or around April 16 (crosses fingers the weather will become normal again and the snow will be gone and the road dried up a bit). It’s all very exciting and more than a little bit fun!
